The baby we can’t get enough of . . .

November 14, 2009

is home. Of course, I’m referring to Bennett, the beautiful child of Pittsburgh news anchor Kelly Frey. This little guy won our hearts before he was born when his mom was interviewed about carrying him to term after a very difficult diagnosis. When Bennett was born, we cheered and cried – soaking in the the happiness of the parents of this fragile yet remarkable baby – defying the odds. You see, he breathed . . . he lived . . . and that was more than was expected. Documenting all of this was an incredible local photographer – showing us what words cannot. Heather reports that baby Bennett is home. At just under 8 weeks old, this sweetheart has a lot of unknowns in his future. What we do know is that there are thousands of people praying for him and his parents, hoping for all the very best.

Pictures? Sure – there are plenty, but you need to go straight over to WeddingsByHeather, the blog of the photographer and dear friend of Kelly, who knows just how to frame the precious moments and love surrounding baby Bennett. Click here for the latest.

It was great to see Kelly and Bennett doing so well. The story today was very touching. My prayers and thoughts go out to Kelly, her husband and of course Bennett. Hope it won’t be too long before Kelly can come back and deliver our morning news. I enjoy watching every morning and await her return. Take Care of yourselves.Just a little thought…If God brings you to it, he will help you through it….
